The Challenge
Complete the 100 mile challenge by 4pm on Sunday 10th July. You will leave the main doors of Beechen Cliff at 16:00 on Friday 8th July, and walk 25 miles via the Kennet and Avon canal to Devizes. You will camp overnight and then walk to Hungerford and back to Devizes (50 miles) on Saturday, followed by the return to Beechen Cliff on Sunday afternoon.
Why?
Hayesfield is delighted to join the Centurion Challenge as this is a long established Beechen Cliff tradition. Each year the challenge raises money for charities chosen by the challengers. Please state your preferred charity on the Google form. We also donate monies to the Canals and River Trust and St Lawrence Church, Hungerford as a thank you for the support given to the challengers as they reach the halfway point.
What you must do to take part…
Complete the online MEDICAL FORM use this link to gain access: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ZD9Y7WM , you will then be able access Parent Pay to pay the entrance fee of £85, once you have paid then you will have secured your place. Hayesfield will have 25 places available and entry closes on Friday 17th June.
All the Centurion Challengers will receive a Centurion Challengers ‘T’ Shirt, but only the finishers – the legionnaires that complete the challenge by 16:00 hours on the Sunday will receive a Centurion Challengers Tie alongside a medal. The names of the first three challengers to return will be immortalised on the Centurion Challengers roll of honour! It would be fantastic to see a Hayesfield student join that group.
