Hi, my name’s Elsa Calamvokis Lang and I am your new Head Student! I take Physics, Maths, Further Maths and am doing an EPQ. In the future I want to study to become a Theoretical Physicist. Outside of lessons I love both composing and playing music and I am currently learning Portuguese as I grew up in Portugal. In the midst of quarantine, I still aim to fulfil my role as Head Student, which involves not only acting as a spokesperson for the school but also coordinating various events and groups. I look forward to a great year with the rest of 6SLT! |

12 | Bethan Horobin | ![]() | 6SLT Community Leader |
Hi! I’m Bethan Horobin and I take Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I’m part of the community team and my job is to coordinate the internal and external sub teams. This involves sorting out house activities or functions within the school and between years, but also thinking about the wider community and the role Hayesfield plays in it. As I enjoy music and sport outside of school, I’d love for people to get involved with house activities in those areas, and one of the team’s aims is to have a broader range of house events happening so that even more students can take part
12 | Ella Swash | ![]() | 6SLT Community Leader |
Hi, my name is Ella Swash and I am studying English Language, History, Photography and Core Maths to help me achieve my ambition to become a teacher. My role within 6SLT is the Community Lead (Internal). This means that I will be looking at creating a wider integration between all the years and some new and exciting house competitions. We are open to lots of ideas so feel free to email the 6SLT2021@hayesfield.com - I look forward to working with you all in the future!
12 | Nathalia Chocowen | ![]() | 6SLT Community Leader |
I’m Nathalia Chocowen, I study Product Design, Geography and Art. Within 6SLT I am the Community Lead (External). Although I will be working closely with all of the community leaders, I specifically focus on how to create a higher level of integration between the internal school community and the external local community. As external community leaders, we will aim to organise a variety of projects that will hopefully give students opportunities to help and improve the local society.
12 | Lily Barnes | ![]() | 6SLT Community Leader |
Hi, I’m Lily Barnes. My role in 6SLT is promotion within the community role. I keep the notice boards and house thermometers updated, alongside making sure that everyone knows what is going on with House and wider community events! I'm taking Psychology, Sociology, English Language, and am doing an EPQ. I have always been interested in helping the Hayesfield community and have been part of the peer mentor program for 3 years ! I have a passion for historical literature and helping people whenever they need it. My aim for my role in the Sixth Form Leadership Team is to keep people informed (at both sites) of upcoming events and to celebrate all the great things going on across the school community! |

12 | Amelia Flood | ![]() | 6SLT Community Leader |
I’m Amelia Flood and work with Nathalia on the external community projects. I am studying A Level Economics, History and Sociology. I aim to achieve increased integration between Hayesfield students and the wider community, including local services. Hayesfield students can gain from this by developing key skills that will help them achieve their ambitions. If you have ideas about how we can work with the wider community then just let us know.
12 | Maggie Jones | ![]() | 6SLT Character Mentor Leader |
I’m Maggie Jones, I study History, French and Philosophy. I’m a Character Mentor as a part of the 6SLT. I am one of three Character Mentor Leaders this year, along with Amelia Pritchard and Tom Kelsh. My primary focus is on promoting opportunities that align with our value of Limitless Aspirations.
12 | Tom Kelsh | ![]() | 6SLT Character Mentor Leader |
I'm Tom Kelsh, I study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Obviously, I haven't been at Hayesfield that long but have settled in quite quickly. I would like to become a vet in the future. I am one of the Character Mentor leads. In this role I hope to further develop the academic mentoring scheme to enable us all to build our self-confidence and achieve our ambitions. This will be focused on students that are struggling or students who would like to push themselves further, but others will hopefully be involved too. |

12 | Amelia Prichard | ![]() | 6SLT Character Mentor Leader |
Hi! My name’s Amelia Prichard and I am taking Biology, Psychology and Sociology A Level. I’m a member of the Character Mentor Team within the new 6SLT and my role specifically is based on making sure that the resilience, wellbeing and happiness of all Hayesfield students is the best that it can be. This will involve building on the existing mentoring and buddying systems in place. My aim is to widen the opportunities to make friends across year groups, discover new things and give everyone the opportunity to get involved with the Hayesfield community and make a positive difference.
12 | Katrin Plain | ![]() | 6SLT Student Engagement Leader |
Hey, I’m Katrin Plain and I’m one of two Student Engagement Leads! I take Economics, History and Politics, and through them and other external projects (such as being Deputy Youth Parliament member) show my passion for hearing the opinions of young people! I believe that everyone’s opinion is valid, and by speaking up and sharing your views we can inform and engage everyone to improve the school and society as a whole. Therefore, come speak to me or email me if you have anything you want to say, and I will endeavour to make your voice heard within the school!
12 | Izzy Haig | ![]() | 6SLT Student Climate Change Leaders |
Hi I’m Izzy Haig, I’m studying a mix of maths and humanities subjects. My A-levels are Maths, Further Maths, History and English literature. I am one of the two Student Engagement Leads. As Student Engagement Leads, we are responsible for the prefects and helping to run the school council. We would also like to try and improve across year-group relationships particularly between year 12 and 13 to create a sense of a wider community. I would always be glad to hear people’s ideas or opinions about what they’d like to see within the Sixth Form so please feel free to come and talk to me or email me.
12 | Noor Jabban | ![]() | 6SLT Student Climate Change Leaders |
I am Noor Jabban, one of your two new Climate Change Leaders. It was always a passion of mine to help the people around me, and with the increasing harm that climate change is bringing to our planet, I realised that minimising our negative impact can help in saving the planet as a whole. I aim to ensure that saving the environment is a top priority here at Hayesfield by finding creative solutions that help us be environmentally friendly. In the future, I would like to study Engineering at university, which ties in with my role now. I am currently studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Arabic for my A-Levels, in addition to an EPQ. Looking forward to an exciting year with you all!
12 | Elise Preedy | ![]() | 6SLT Student Climate Change Leaders |
Hello everyone! My name’s Elise Preedy and I will be one of your Climate Change Leaders taking over this year. Subject-wise, I study English Literature, History and Textiles, and out of school I do Host and a girls’ choir at the abbey. I will also be chairing the Climate Change Committee and looking after the Climate Change club, alongside pushing some new initiatives forward to try and make our school more eco-friendly – though coming up with something more effective than putting all the students on lockdown will be tricky! Looking forward to fully embracing my role when we get back to school, working with the rest of the fantastic 6SLT, and doing whatever I can in the meantime! |
