Overdrawn Catering Accounts
Please can parents ensure that there is a credit balance on their daughter’s catering card account. A student who’s catering account is overdrawn will not be allowed to purchase any drinks, cakes or break snacks. Students in Years 7 to 11 will only be allowed to buy a basic sandwich at lunch time if their account is overdrawn. This concession will only be permitted for a limited time if the account balance remains overdrawn.
In our refectories, we cook all our meals using local suppliers and fresh ingredients; we believe this is essential for the good health of all our students. It is important to have a healthy nutritional balanced diet to promote effective learning and wellbeing.
In addition to the high quality of our food we pride ourselves on the high standards of cleaniness in our kitchens. Both of our kitchens have been awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 following a recent inspection by BANES Environmental Services. This is the highest rating that can be awarded to an organisation for food hygiene and reflects the high standards of cleanliness that our Catering Team work to on a daily basis.

Nut Free School
We have a number of students and staff with a variety of allergies and reactions to allergens. Nuts are a potential danger for some and to ensure their safety and wellbeing, we have been a ‘nut free’ school for some years now. Please keep this in mind when you are packing lunches or snacks for your children.
