HOUSE SYSTEM
Sharman
Sharman House, easily identifiable by its bold red color, is one of the four dynamic houses at Hayesfield Girls’ School. Named in honor of Helen Sharman, the first Briton in space, the house embodies her trailblazing spirit. Limitless Aspiration is the defining core value of Sharman House, encouraging students to dream big, set ambitious goals, and believe in their capacity to achieve the extraordinary.

Student Heads of House

Amelia
Sharman Head of House
Hi! My name is Amelia and I am the Head of Sharman House. You can usually find me at Upper and I study English Language, Geography and Art. I am passionate about making Sharman House not just a team, but a real community where everyone feels included and valued. I want to create more opportunities for us to connect, support each other, and take pride in our house.
I also want to focus on raising money for important causes and finding new ways for us to give back. Whether it’s through charity events, competitions, or fun activities, I’d love for everyone to get involved and make a difference together. I’m really excited to take on this role. If you have any suggestions about charity/house events, contact me or come and find me.

Emily
Charity Lead
Hi! I’m Emily, one of your community leads for charity over the next year.
I’m super excited to make positive changes around the school and build our community. It’s so important, now more than ever, to lend a hand to those in need and support our wider community wherever possible. I hope to establish close relationships with charities local to us and we would love to hear your input on which charities you want to work with.
If you have any ideas for fundraising, charities or if there’s any areas you want to see more of in your tutor times etc I’d love to hear your suggestions and try my best to make them a reality.

Ruby
Charity Lead
Hi, I’m Ruby and I’m one of the Communities and Charities leads.
As a team, Emily and I are very excited to make a difference, bring awareness to and help support local charities. We are especially keen to learn which charities are meaningful to Hayesfield students.
If you have any ideas for events, charities you’d like to support or any questions then feel free to come and find me, I am usually in the UOP open learning area.
