Autumn Music Showcase
The Autumn Music Showcase is a vibrant celebration of our students’ musical talents and achievements. This eagerly anticipated event provides a wonderful platform for students across all year groups to perform, whether individually or as part of an ensemble, and demonstrate the progress they’ve made in their instrumental and vocal studies. From classical pieces to contemporary hits, the showcase highlights the diverse musical abilities within our school community and is a testament to the dedication and passion of our students.


Christmas Concert
The Christmas Concert is a truly festive and heartwarming occasion, marking a special moment in the school’s calendar. This annual event brings together students from across all year groups, showcasing their vocal and instrumental talents in a delightful programme of seasonal favourites and inspiring performances.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for the school community to gather, share in the joy of the season, and celebrate the musical accomplishments of our students, creating a memorable evening for all who attend.
Spring Music Showcase
The Spring Music Showcase is a much-anticipated event that beautifully highlights the musical prowess and diverse talents of our students. As the academic year progresses, this showcase provides another fantastic opportunity for pupils from all year groups to perform the pieces they’ve been diligently working on, whether as soloists, in duets, or as part of larger ensembles.
It’s a vibrant and uplifting evening that not only celebrates individual achievements and progress but also underscores the collaborative spirit and passion for music that thrives within the Hayesfield community.


A Level Recital
The A Level Music Recital is a prestigious event that highlights the exceptional musical talent and academic rigour of our most senior music students. This concert provides a dedicated platform for our A Level musicians to perform their challenging 8-minute recitals, which form a significant component of their external examination.
Audiences are consistently captivated by the high level of musicianship, technical proficiency, and artistic maturity demonstrated by these students, as they present a diverse programme spanning various genres and styles, often reflecting the rigorous demands of their A Level curriculum.
Piano Recital
The Piano Recital is a dedicated and highly anticipated event that celebrates the remarkable talent of our pianists across all year groups. From budding young musicians to advanced students, this evening provides a unique platform for them to perform a diverse range of repertoire, showcasing their technical skill, musicality, and dedicated practice.
It’s an inspiring occasion that highlights the significant individual progress made by our piano students and offers a fantastic opportunity for them to share their passion for the instrument with an appreciative audience.

Music Lessons
The Music Department is delighted to offer instrumental lessons during the school day at a cost of £22.75 per lesson, 30 lessons are offered across the academic year. West of England Music & Arts provide teachers for Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Drum and Singing lessons. Please contact them via their online form on their website.
For all other instruments such as Piano, Guitar (Classical, Acoustic, Bass or Electric), Trumpet, and Violin, please find below the Instrumental lesson handbook and Booking form.
Students are expected to practice their instrument every day and to take part in assemblies and other performances when they arise. Parents are encouraged to support their daughter in practising their instrument regularly and attending performances.
