National Competition
Congratulations to our Year 9 Netballers who came away with a well deserved win against Badminton School this week. Good luck to the girls in the final 16 match against the Crypt school later this term. Player of the match: Elsie (9EL).
U14 Netball County Tournament
What a squad!! On Thursday, our U14 team which comprised of students in Year 7, 8, 9 travelled to Bristol Grammar School to take part in the annual County Tournament.
Our captain Amity (9EL) led the team from the minibus drive where games were played and she talked through the order of play. On arrival, the girls quickly sprung into action following a full warm up and were ready for their games. We took a large squad of 12 players, and I was extremely impressed with how the whole squad supported each other throughout the day, all playing a vital role.
We had a successful group stage, finishing joint first with Clifton College on points, gaining a place in the semi final. Unfortunately, Kingswood were victorious and we finished 4th out of 14 schools. Congratulations to players of the tournament (and sisters!) Amity (9EL) and Florence (7SL).
WINS against Prior Park, KES, Monkton, Clifton High, Wellsway

We have also had success in the U12 and U14 B&NES Football tournaments and are competing in the U13 Utilita Cup on Friday 15th November with two teams so have everything crossed for more success (this final is at Wembley!)
A huge congratulations to all involved in Hayesfield football from the girls playing weekly to those who attend LEAP each week. We are looking for more opportunities to get as many girls involved as possible. Thank you to Miss Byrne, Mr Holbrook, Mr Allen, Ms Cordero, Mr Dixon & Mr White (PGCE) for their continued support of football at Hayesfield and to Y13 student and Bristol Rovers Ladies star Mils (13SR) who supports the team at both early bird and LEAP training each week!
Fingers crossed for more successes over the upcoming weeks!
U12 Football National Round 2
A huge congratulations to the Year 7 football team who this week played Allenbourn School from Bournemouth in the ESFA National Cup Round 2. Following an impressive round 1 win the girls were excited to take on round 2 and played superbly!
We have been working on pressing in our football training sessions and the girls did this to such great effect stealing the ball from Allenbourn high up the pitch to manage to great some amazing attacking opportunities.
Hayesfield came away with an impressive 9-1 victory with goals coming from Polly (7PL), Sofia (7PL), Flo (7SL) and Charlotte (7PR).
We are so proud of the girls achievements and are excited for Round 3!
U14 Football vs Gordano
Well done to the U14 football team who are now through to the final 64 team in the country out of 421 schools entered after a great 4-1 win against Gordano on last week.
The girls played brilliantly and have worked so well to gel as a team across the two year groups.
Huge congratulations to Esme, Lexi and Sophia in 8SL who were all goal scorers this week.
We are looking forward to playing Downend School in Round 4 of the competition.
U13 Football vs Backwell
This week our fantastic U13 team came up against strong opposition in Backwell School.
The girls battled really hard and scored a fantastic goal via Sophia (8SL) with some great team link up play. Sadly it wasn’t our day and we eventually lost the game.
Although disheartened at this loss, the girls are looking forward to playing in the Utilita Cup on Friday and are a team with huge potential so we cannot wait to see how they get on!
