Masterclass at Lower School
Intent
Our Intent is that the Masterclass Curriculum offer for Year 7 provides students with the opportunity to master a new skill, take up a new challenge and develop their confidence in an area that either sits outside of the mainstream curriculum or enriches our current provision. The Masterclass programme is coordinated to ensure breadth and challenge.
Implementation
Year 7 students select from a range of activities provided by Hayesfield staff. All activities are available for two terms only. At the end of the two-term rotation their teachers hold a celebration event to ensure that all students are recognised for their efforts and achievements. Each year we provide a broad range of activities to enable our students to develop their entrepreneurial, performance, creativity, sport and leadership qualities. We seek feedback from students and update the programme so that it reflects their input.
