Hayesfield Sixth Formers Achieve their Ambitions!

Staff and students are celebrating another set of exceptionally strong A-Level results this summer. This year’s cohort has set a high standard of academic excellence earning places at top universities and on prestigious apprenticeships.

These achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of our students. They are also a testament to the unwavering support provided by our staff and parents/carers, who have played a crucial role in guiding our students to success.

27% of all grades were A*-A. More than half of all grades were A*-B, with a remarkable 85% of all grades achieved in the A*-C grade range, this compares to 76% nationally.

Over 95% of our students are heading to one of their first choice universities to study a variety of subjects, with popular areas including Biological Sciences, Business Management, Education, Engineering, History, Law and Politics, demonstrating the breadth of talent across our Sixth Form. With students winning places from across a wide range of universities including Jess Harris who is studying History at Oxford University, alongside Libby Hendy and Daisy Whitmarsh who will be donning the famous uniform at Norland College.

This year we are celebrating particular success in the medical field with three students, Nehir Alkan, Ezzat Jabban and Nia Mulhern securing places in Medicine, Elizabeth Perryman in Veterinary Science and another 7 students studying medical disciplines including Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Nursing.

This cohort definitely had a creative flair with six students undertaking practical technical theatre and costume arts courses alongside another 10 students broadening into Art Foundation degrees at local colleges and further afield.

Philip White, Headteacher, expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments: “These exceptionally strong results are a true reflection of the resilience, determination and talent of our students. They have risen to the challenge and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. We look forward to seeing them flourish in the next stages of their education and careers.”

This year’s results continue our tradition of academic excellence, reinforcing our growing reputation as one of the leading Sixth Forms across Bath and North East Somerset providing a broad range of academic and vocational qualifications ensuring we open doors for all students.

We wish our students every success in their future endeavours.
