Our Vision
By exploring other religions and beliefs in the world, students develop a wider knowledge and respect of their own and others’ beliefs
In order to reflect the different worldviews that our students have, and those which we teach them about, we have renamed Religious Studies at Hayesfield to Philosophy and Beliefs. This is an inclusive title which reflects that whilst we teach the main world religions, we also include other worldviews such as Humanism. The Philosophy and Beliefs curriculum affords students the opportunity to explore their own beliefs and the beliefs of people around them. We examine the importance of living in a multi-faith society and provide students with the information and experience to be aware of the wider multi-cultural society in which we live.
