Open Events

Open Evening – Thursday 11th September 2025

What time do the doors open?

Our doors will open at 5.45pm to allow for a 6.00pm start.

Which entrance shall I use?

We ask you to enter through the main doors on Upper Oldfield Park. When you come in, you will be provided with a Prospectus, information about our school, a ticket for the Headteacher’s talk and, best of all, one of our lovely students to guide you around.

What time is the Headteacher’s talk?

This is such a popular evening that Mr White gives three talks. To ensure we do not overfill our theatre, entrance will be by ticket only which will be issued when you arrive. There are three talks, which start at:
6.00pm, 7.00pm and 8.00pm

What will I see?

Our classrooms are open, and our staff are available for you to speak with. Our students are also present and really look forward to telling you about our school.

Will both sites be open?

For our Open Evening, our Upper Oldfield Park Campus is open. This is to ensure that you can have a good look around in the time available. All of our Faculties are on site that evening.

We also look forward to welcoming you to the following additional Open Events:

  • Brougham Hayes Campus Open Morning (9.15am – 12.00pm – Tuesday 16th September)

You will be able to tour both campuses with our student guides as well as talk to members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Will refreshments be available?

There will be tea and coffee available, plus the chance to sample some of our Refectory menu.

Is there parking on site?

Please note that there is no parking on site for this event, but there is parking in the area. Please be aware that our school is located in a Controlled Parking Zone so many of the parking bays in the immediate vicinity of the school are for residents with permits only. It is at times like this that we need to remember we are a city school and the space around us reflects that. We would advise that you leave plenty of time to find a parking space and be aware that it can get very congested around the school at the start and end of the evening.

What time does the evening end?

The evening will end at 8.30pm

How busy is the evening?

It can get very busy, particularly at the start of the evening so don’t feel you need to rush to arrive for the first talk, the third talk is often quieter and the building is open until 8.30pm.   We do however advise that you come for a tour before the final talk.
