Dear Prospective Parents/Carers
Thank you for considering Hayesfield as the secondary school of choice for your daughter. We are delighted that you are exploring the opportunities our school has to offer.
Choosing the right secondary school is a significant decision, and we understand that many families in Bath and the surrounding areas begin this journey as early as Year 4. To support you in making an informed choice, we have included a range of key presentations and documents designed to give you and your daughter a clear insight into life at Hayesfield.
You can also find detailed information about our examination results and weekly School Bulletins on our website. These resources offer a valuable glimpse into the vibrant and dynamic community that defines our school.

Prospective Parents’ Evening 2026 Information
Arrival Options
To help manage the flow of visitors throughout the evening, families can choose to arrive at one of the following times:
- Arrive in good time for the 5.30pm Headteacher presentation, followed by an opportunity to tour the school.
- Arrive at 5.30pm for a tour, followed by the Headteacher presentation at 6.30pm.
- Arrive by 6.30pm for a tour, followed by the Headteacher presentation at 7.30pm.
Please note that tours will finish at 7.30pm.
You do not need to book your visit. However, please be aware that the first two presentations may reach capacity quickly, and we may not be able to accommodate everyone at these presentations. We recommend considering a later arrival time if you are able to, as the school is likely to be particularly busy at the beginning of the evening.
Please also note that we cannot guarantee that families will be able to tour the school or attend a presentation together if all members of the family do not arrive at the same time.
What Will Be Available?
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet our staff and explore displays around the school.
- Enjoy performances from our pupils, including dance, choir, drama and music.
- Explore our Upper Oldfield Park Campus.
- Find out more about school uniform and what life at Hayesfield is like.
- Discover our enrichment programme and the wider range of activities available to our pupils.
- Enjoy refreshments and sample some of our school food.
- Hear from our Headteacher and students about life at Hayesfield.
Parking and Travel
There is no parking available on the school site.
Most of the parking around the school consists of resident permit bays, with only a small number of visitor spaces available. If you are driving, you may need to park a short distance from the school and walk the remainder of your journey.
We respectfully ask families to consider how they will travel to school and, where possible, encourage you to walk. If you are driving and hoping to attend a specific tour or presentation, please allow extra time to find a parking space and walk to the school.
Thank you for helping us to minimise congestion around the school and make the evening as accessible as possible for everyone.
Open Morning – Wednesday 23rd September 2026
We look forward to welcoming those of you who could not make our Open Evening, those of you who attended Open Evening and want to see Brougham Hayes and those of you who just want to spend more time with us!
What time does the morning start?
Our Open Morning starts at 9.15am. This is at the start of our first lesson of the day and we want to make sure there is lots for you to see.
Which entrance shall I use?
Our Open Morning starts at Brougham Hayes. Please use the Main Entrance to the school via the glass doors on Brougham Hayes.
Will the Headteacher be giving a talk?
The Headteacher’s Talk is on Open Evening and will not be repeated here. However, a transcript of the talk will be available on our website. Mr White and a number of staff will also be available to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
What will I see?
A normal school day! Our classrooms are open, and lessons will be in full swing. Our guides will show you around and are really looking forward to telling you about our school.
Will both sites be open?
Both sites will be open on Open Morning. We recommend that you start at Brougham Hayes and then make your way to Upper Oldfield Park.
Will refreshments be available?
There will be tea, coffee and juice available on our Brougham Hayes Campus.
Is there parking on site?
Please note that there is no parking on site for this event, but there is parking in the area. Please be aware that our school is located in a Controlled Parking Zone so many of the parking bays in the immediate vicinity of the school are for residents with permits only.
It is at times like this that we need to remember we are a City school and the space around us reflects that. We would advise that you leave plenty of time to find a parking space and get to us.
