Faculty Subjects

Art Textiles

The A Level Art and Design; Textile Design course is planned to encourage students to develop skills, creativity, imagination and independence based on personal experience, taught skills and critical understanding. Students show this through their responses to a range of stimuli.

This A-Level appeals to creative students who enjoy the practical style of learning; gaining an understanding of what it means to be a creative designer alongside the knowledge and a range of transferable learning skills sought by higher education and employers.

Business & Economics

At GCSE we offer the NCFE Technical Award in Business and Enterprise which is a vocational qualification that is accessible to a wide range of students. Throughout the qualification the students will have the opportunity to develop a broad and balanced understanding of the functional areas within a business and how they operate.

At A Level we offer the AQA Applied General Business and Edexcel Economics Specification A. Students complete a summer transition project to prepare. These courses give students essential insights into how organizations and the economy function. Students will develop analytical, decision-making, and evaluative skills directly applicable to the workplace or degree-level study across a range of subjects.
