At Hayesfield we are proud of our tutor programme and consider it to be the sixth lesson of the day. Every student participates in the tutor programme that encompasses activities designed to promote personal development, develop their cultural capital and ensure their well-being.
The fortnightly programme includes the following sessions:
- Character Development
- Dedicated reading time
- ‘Get Involved’ Student-led sessions and Leadership opportunities
- Senior Leadership led Assemblies
- Director of Achievement led Assemblies
Hayesfield has developed a Character Development Portfolio that allows students to record their own character development. Once a term the girls evaluate their own character development and are given a chance to tangibly prove their good character and be recognised / rewarded for this. Students must log eight indicators for each value. They then receive a sticker for that value and when they have achieved all five stickers, they receive a Purple Pentagon that demonstrates they are a Hayesfield Citizen and represent the five Hayesfield values.
