This concession will only be permitted for a limited time if the account balance remains overdrawn.

In our refectories, we cook all our meals using local suppliers and fresh ingredients; we believe this is essential for the good health of all our students. It is important to have a healthy nutritional balanced diet to promote effective learning and wellbeing.

In addition to the high quality of our food we pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness in our kitchens. Both of our kitchens have been awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 following an inspection by BANES Environmental Services. This is the highest rating that can be awarded to an organisation for food hygiene and reflects the high standards of cleanliness that our Catering Team work to on a daily basis.

Aims and Objectives
1. Improve the health of all the students, staff and their families by increasing their knowledge and awareness of food
2. To promote and develop’ healthy’ lifestyle foods which will take them beyond Hayesfield and further on into their lives
3. To make students aware of all different cuisines within our society e.g. religious, ethnic, vegetarian, medical and allergic needs
4. To make the eating of food a positive and sociable experience
5. To contribute to the healthy development of all members of our school community
