We aim to enable students to develop a love of learning for the subject and an understanding that there are no limits to their own development in Computer Science. We feel that problem solving is an important life skill and developing computational thinking is a vital part of our subject’s intent.
The Computing curriculum plays a pivotal role in keeping children safe online and in their use of social media. Together with the tutor and PSHE programmes of study, students are given guidance on how to work safely on-line so that it is second nature for them to carry out all the necessary steps for their own safety as well as those around them when not in school. A better understanding of Computer Science enables students to make better sense of the digital world around them.
