Hayesfield Sixth Form Students Shine on A-Level Results Day
Students, teachers, and families across the Hayesfield Mixed Sixth Form community are marking another year of remarkable academic success as the Class of 2026 delivered an outstanding set of results.
This year’s performance highlights the dedication of our students, supported by the tireless efforts of our teaching team and school community. An impressive 33% of all A-Level entries attained top A*-A grades, while 66% achieved A*-B and 87% reached A*-C — once again placing Hayesfield comfortably ahead of national benchmarks and maintaining our position as one of the highest-performing Sixth Form providers in the city.
Furthermore, 97% of students have secured places at their preferred universities, enrolling in a wide range of courses across the country.
Individual Triumphs & Diverse Destinations
Among the standout individual triumphs:
- Alice Burford will be heading to the University of Oxford to study Experimental Psychology.
- Grace Plummer heads to Imperial College London for Biological Sciences.
- Emily Dickie and Naomi Ngwompo will both be studying Medicine.
- Katie Palmer will be pursuing Veterinary Science.
- Oscar Costello and Sandra Holubova are both joining the Police Apprenticeship pathway.
- Holly Johnson-Smith will be joining the ranks of the prestigious Norland Nannies.
Maths and STEM subjects are a particular strength with 3 students studying Maths at Bristol and Durham with four students going onto study Economics alongside 10 students studying Biology and Life Sciences at a range of Universities. Twenty students are following the Creative Arts pathway and 11 students are going into the Health Sector studying subjects including Occupational Therapy and Nursing. Four students are studying Law and fourteen students are going onto study History, Politics and International Relations. A high percentage of students who studied Classics A Level are going on to study it at University.
